FAQ’S
What is your preservation process?
I use a variety of different processes as all flowers are different & require different treatment. For larger, thicker flowers I will remove as much of the moisture out of the flower as possible prior than putting it into the flower press. This can also involve deconstructing the flower & reassembling it once it is pressed. All flowers will eventually make it into the press where they will spend a minimum of 4 weeks (I check & change the paper out every few days.)
How long will it take?
Allow approximately 12 weeks from the day I receive your bouquet to receive your forever piece.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes it is recommended to book in advance as spots are limited.
How do I pay?
A non-refundable deposit of $200 will be paid to secure your booking. 7 days prior to your wedding day we will send you an invoice for the remaining balance which can be paid via credit card or bank transfer.
How do I get my flowers to you?

Post - You can express post your flowers to me - from approx $70 +gst depending on size weight & where you are posting from. I will send through packing instructions if you decide to go with this option.

Can I change the size & style of my frame?
Yes absolutely! You can down size or up size when you see your flowers. You can also add on a gift frame if you wish! However major changes requested after I have commenced the layout part of the process may incur an additional fee.
Do the flowers keep their colour?
Some flowers will change colour more than others. Keeping the ‘feel’ of the bouquet is very important to me. Your flowers might gradually evolve over time but the look, feel of your precious flowers & memories will remain forever. Working with natural materials means that they lose their moisture which causes their cell structure to change entirely. All flowers are different in the way they preserve and some flowers produce a much better finished result than others. It is important to handle your bouquet carefully at every stage as it can often show up once the flowers are pressed & dry. If you have reflexed roses in your bouquet, ask your florist to use a few in their natural form as this bruises the petals
Some flowers may darken/deepen, whilst others remain similar and others can change to a completely new colour. White flowers very rarely stay white and will range from creams to browns. Unfortunately, this isn't something that can be easily predicted when working with nature. Please be aware of this if you have an all-white bouquet. You're preserving the flowers from your special day in a vintage style, rather than the colour.
Will all of the flowers be pressed?
Yes, but at times the odd flower will not press well—this is usually dependant on the condition of the bouquet when I receive it. Also, some flowers will not be used for the final piece—this just depends on how the frame looks best once it comes to arranging.
How will my frame last?
Forever! As mentioned, some of your flowers will evolve over time, this just adds to the charm of your piece. For optimal conservation avoid direct sunlight and protect from humidity. The frames are sturdy however, they do need to be treated with care as some flower fragments can drop within the frame over time.
Can you press flowers that are already dried?
Most of the time YES. If you have a dried flower bouquet, it’s the exact same process, we just bypass the drying process & flowers will go straight into the traditional press. If you have dried your bouquet yourself, I would need to see it first as some flowers become very fragile once dried & may not hold together in the press.
